Because no parent should walk alone.
Hello, I'm Dionne. I am an IPSEA trained Parent SEND Advocate, but more importantly, i'm a mother who understands the system from the inside out. My experience comes from the heart, I have successfully secured EHCP's for two of my children and spent years battling for the right SEN support in school for my other two. After years of navigating these challenges for my own family and helping friends master the EHCP process, I turned my lived experience into a professional practice. I know how overwhelming the paperwork and meetings can be - I'm here to guide you through the maze and ensure your child gets the support they are entitled to.

The heart behind the scout
I'm Dionne - a mother, a campaigner and your guide through the SEND system.
My journey into advocacy didn't start with a textbook - it started at my own kitchen table, surrounded by piles of paperwork and the overwhelming feeling of fighting for my children's future.
As a mother of four children with SEN, I know the reality of the 'SEND battle' intimately. I've navigated the intense legal process of securing two EHCP's for two of my children, and ive fought the daily, uphillbattle for SEN support in school for my other two.
From parent to advocate.
For a long time, I was just a mum doing what we all do: fighting for my kids. Along the way, I started helping friends who were lost in the same maze. I realised that the 'insider knowledge' I'd gained from my own family's challenges could be a lifeline for others.
I decided to combine that years-long, firsthand experience with professional IPSEA training so I could offer parents more than just empathy - I could offer them a strategic way forward.
Why i'm here
I founded The SEND Scout because I believe no parent should have to become a legal expert just to get their child an education. I'm here to be the guide I wish I had when I first started this journey. I'll help you navigate the paperwork, prepare for the meetings and ensure your child's voice is the loudest in the room.
